The Grappler Police Bumper is a device mounted to the front of a police vehicle. It features a retractable arm with a heavy-duty nylon net. During a pursuit, the arm lowers and aims for the rear tire of a fleeing vehicle. When the net catches the tire, it locks the wheel and forces the vehicle to stop. This system offers a safer alternative to traditional pursuit-ending tactics like spike strips or PIT maneuvers. Its purpose is to quickly and safely bring dangerous police chases to a controlled halt.
