Video shows how a woman allegedly tried to carjack a couple right in front of Broward Health Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale on Wednesday, and police say she had tried to carjack another vehicle before.

Police said they were notified at 6:08 p.m. that a carjacker had tried to move a couple from their red sedan.

Video shows the car’s front bumper dragging on the floor as the hazard lights flicker. The vehicle moves forward until it stops and what appear to be security and hospital staff surround the car.

During the struggle, the car also struck a pole, authorities said.

Fort Lauderdale police arrived and arrested Ciara McGriff, 36.

“After further on scene investigation, it was determined the suspect attempted to take two different vehicles from near the entrance of BHMC. One of the vehicles was occupied and that is when the altercation ensued,” police said.
