Corporal Fernando Aguiar de Melo, 36, was shot and killed several times yesterday evening in Duque de Caxias, in Baixada Fluminense, Rio de Janiero, Brazil.

The policeman was off duty, parking his car, a Nissan Kicks, on Rua Copacabana, in the Vila Leopoldina neighborhood, when armed men, who were in a white vehicle, teamed up with his car and started shooting several times, around 6:30 pm.

The cable, which is packed at the 41st BPM (Irajá), was helped by colleagues from the 15th BPM (Caxias) at the Municipal Hospital Dr. Moacyr Rodrigues do Carmo. However, he has already dead on arrival.
