A series of controlled detonations brought down the grandstand at the fabled Hollywood Park Race Track in Inglewood.

A demolition crew set off the explosions with L.A. County firefighters on standby at the site, where developers and city officials plan to build a massive multi-use facility.

The new development is expected to include an NFL-ready stadium, retail and office space, residential units, a performing arts theater, movie theater and hotel.
