A fight over an old land dispute in Madhya Pradesh's Morena district turned violent as two groups opened fire at each other, killing six people, police said. Five people, including four women and one man, were injured in the firing and were rushed to a hospital for immediate medical attention.Six members of a family, including three women, were shot dead and three others were injured apparently over past enmity, a senior police official told PTI.Police have identified eight persons who were allegedly involved in the murders and a case is being registered against them, he said.The incident happened in Morena's Lepa village under Sihonia police station on Friday and a video of the incident is making rounds on social media.According to police, due to an old rivalry, some people attacked people belonging to the other side with sticks and weapons, after which the conflict flared up. On receiving information about the clash, senior police officials rushed to the spot.According to information, the families of Deer Singh and Gajendra Singh were at loggerheads due to an old pending land dispute.
