A manager of the GES gas station company and partner of a fuel marketing company was attacked in his home, located on Antares Avenue and Cygnus Street in the Estrellas de Buenavista subdivision, by a group of police officers who were allegedly trying to extort him. The incident ended with one officer dead and another seriously injured.Yesterday morning, these agents went to his house without any arrest warrant or presentation order, trying to take him by force, according to family accounts.According to these versions, in the last 18 months, a group of agents from the Attorney General's Office ( FGR ) Tabasco Delegation, together with other elements of the state Attorney General's Office, began to "visit" the manager both in his offices and at his home. These visits focused on requesting "support" for the protection of the transfer of fuel and the security of the gas stations that he managed.Over time, the ministerial agents allegedly forced him to become partners in his fuel marketing company, in exchange for a payment of one million pesos. This transaction took place in Notary Office Number 2 of Villahermosa.A few months later, the manager confronted the now partners, who demanded 100% of the company's shares and the reimbursement of the money representing the payment for the shares acquired in the name of the sister of the agent who is now deceased. The family claims that over the last few months, the manager received constant threats to force him to hand over money and give up control of the company. During various visits, cars, jewellery and cash savings were stolen from him. In several attempts at intimidation, they even went so far as to “tackle” him to exert psychological pressure on him, and being threatened with death, he was forbidden to ask for help due to the safety of his daughter. The situation escalated yesterday morning, when the manager's daughter, leaving for school with her driver in an orange vehicle, was intercepted by the federal and state police command. These agents instructed her to return to the family home in order to get her father out of there. This action escalated into a situation of violence that put the life of her minor daughter at risk.During this intimidation, her daughter suffered a panic attack that caused convulsions, which forced the aggressors to allow her driver to immediately take her to a hospital for medical attention. The events that would end in blood began when the command of federal and state police broke into the gates of the home. Shouting, they demanded that the manager, identified as Jorge N, come out to the parking lot of his garage.According to what the manager told his family later, the situation became critical when he received threats that he would only see his daughter again if he left the house. In a desperate act to protect his family, Jorge N decided to take a .380 weapon that he had for his personal safety and that of his home.Once outside, he noticed that several subjects were waiting for him in a black van with the doors open. In the middle of an aggressive dialogue, the attackers demanded that he open the gate of his home and when he did, they hit him and tried to restrain him by force, so Jorge N, facing the possibility of being kidnapped and deprived of his life, took out his weapon and advanced towards his attackers. This movement surprised at least two of them who were hit, while at least three fled the scene on foot. One of the agents who died at the scene was recognized in reports as having been the leader of the extortion team, and was originally from San Luis Potosí. The second agent was also one of those who had previously subdued Jorge N, who had been stripped and “knocked down” to intimidate him, according to his family
