ALERT: Officer dragged by a woman suspected of shoplifting from a Walmart.

The Covington Police Department in Georgia pulled over Destinee Riggins at a gas station on suspicion of shoplifting from a Walmart.

As officers tried to talk to Riggins, she took off, and one officer held on to the window to get her to stop.

The officer was flung onto the concrete and taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Officers located Riggins later at an apartment building and arrested her after an extensive search.

Riggins faces multiple felony charges, including aggravated assault on a police officer, felony fleeing and eluding, and shoplifting.
