In the Moscow region town of Klin, a bus ran over a pensioner while leaving a bus stop.

Footage from a CCTV camera installed on the bus shows that the elderly man was rushing to enter the open door, but he tripped and fell. His head ended up on the roadway. The bus driver then closed the doors and continued driving. In doing so, he ran over the man lying down.

The victim could not be saved. The Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation opened a criminal case.

“The investigator inspected the scene of the incident, questioned witnesses, and ordered a forensic medical examination,” the Investigative Committee said in a statement.
