San Diego to pay $875,000 to a man shot with pellet guns and bitten by a police dog.City council members are expected to approve compensation for 32-year-old Marcus Evans.Evans suffered a broken leg and other injuries during a confrontation with police on October 24, 2024, at his home in South San Diego.Police responded to a report of a man with a gun entering a home on Duluth Avenue near Encanto.Officers ordered residents to evacuate. Four people emerged with their hands up.Evans was not charged, but was hospitalized for his injuries.
