A 35-year-old man was killed in an accident on the Hyderabad-Bangalore national highway at Kothur Y junction on Friday after three lorries collided. Following the accident at around 2:30pm, there was a massive traffic jam on the highway for three hours. The video of the accident went viral since Saturday afternoon. The chain of events began when a DCM driver was trying to attempt a U-turn to cross the road.Meanwhile, a truck laden with pipes in a bid to avoid hitting the DCM, invariably turned the vehicle to the right at the junction and scrapped the DCM at high speed, veering into the opposite lane. In the ensuing chaos, the out-of-control truck struck another lorry moving in the opposite direction. The impact was such that this third lorry flipped onto a bike plying parallel to it. The truck driver carrying pipes load was identified as Prahalad.The biker, Anjaiah a resident of Penjerla, died on spot, while the pillion rider who had sought a lift randomly, sustained injuries in the incident and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
