Authorities are searching for the suspects involved -- and a reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information that leads to the arrests.

Montgomery County police shared the surveillance footage Wednesday.

Police said multiple people in a stolen silver Toyota Camry tried to rob a man as he was getting into his car at a Sunoco on August 29. When he pulled a gun, a shootout began. No one was hurt in the incident and the group of attempted robbers took off, police said.

Investigators believe at least one of the suspects, a teen, is also connected to a robbery and carjacking in Silver Spring the same day.

At around 2:14 a.m., officers responded to the scene. Authorities said a man was walking when he was approached by a person on a bicycle who threatened him and indicated he had a weapon.

The man handed over his wallet, containing cash, and the person left the scene on his bicycle, going southbound on Georgia Ave, police said.

Minutes later, officers were called to an area 7-Eleven for the report of a carjacking. Police said a man was standing outside the 7-Eleven when a person riding a bicycle approached him pulled out a black handgun and demanded the keys to a silver Toyota Camry.

He handed over his keys and the person drove away with the Camry toward Washington, D.C.

The suspect was described as being approximately 14 to 16 years old and 5 feet 4 inches tall to 5 feet 6 inches tall, wearing all black clothing, a black face mask, and white and black Nike Air Jordan 12 Retro shoes.

Through the course of the investigation, detectives determined that the teen and and three others used the stolen Camry in the armed robbery attempt and shooting in Takoma Park the same day.
