According to the Somerset County Sheriff’s Office, they spotted a suspect in a drug investigation, 34 year old Raymond Ellis Jr. of Skowhegan, at Laney’s Pit Stop and attempted to execute a search warrant.Ellis refused to cooperate and fled in his truck.Police pursued Ellis through several streets in Skowhegan until the chase ended in the parking lot of the former Solon Manufacturing building.During the chase, Ellis hit 2 Somerset sheriff cruisers, a Skowhegan police cruiser and three other vehicles.Skowhegan police said that he also hit a pedestrian but was not injured.When the chase ended, they found various drugs and drug paraphernalia and guns on his person and in his car.Ellis was arrested and facing charges for aggravated trafficking of scheduled drugs, possession of a firearm by a prohibited person and 2 counts of reckless conduct with a dangerous weapon.
