There lots of other options, considering from the moment the cop stepped out of the car to the shooting was just seconds, imagine a cop jumps out in front of you as you are walking down the streets and starts yelling at you to drop the knife, it's going to take you longer to figure out what the fuck he is trying to say to you than it took this cop to kill this poor bastard.

Time and time again, countless of videos after videos of bad shootings by people you expect to serve and protect you, not a chance in hell would cops here get away with this.
