A Chinese lorry driver was killed after his cargo slammed through the back of his cab when he performed an emergency stop.

The heavy truck, which was travelling on December 2 in Chuzhou city, in east China's Anhui Province, was confirmed to be overloaded with steel pipes.

The driver, a 53-year-old local resident with the surname of Liu, was killed instantly.
