A car going against the traffic killed two and injured three others in Haikou City of south China's Hainan Province on Tuesday.

A footage shot by a bus-mounted camera showed that the car dashed in high speed across an intersection and hit an electric bicycle rider in the opposite lane and then rammed into another car and the bus. The car turned on its side after hitting two pedestrians.

Local police said the driver of the car and the electric bicycle driver died in hospital and the three injured were receiving treatment in hospital.

Test has ruled out drunk and drug driving of the car driver, said the police.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
