Surrey RCMP are asking for the public's assistance to locate three men they believe to be involved in an alleged acid attack five months ago.

On Sept. 7 at around 10:30 a.m., a man entered Sinclair's MotoSports in the 13400-block of 71A Avenue and began talking with business owner Tammy Sinclair.

Sinclair said the man pretended to be a customer before throwing acid in her face.

"The investigation has determined that an unknown suspect attended the location and, after ensuring no potential witnesses were near, threw a jar of muriatic acid at the unsuspecting victim," said Cpl. Bert Paquet.

Mounties said the suspect then fled on foot to a green Geo Metro that was waiting nearby.

Surrey RCMP is requesting that anyone with information contact a special tip line at 604-599-7676 stating file number 2013-118333 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS to remain anonymous.
