Dramatic video of an inmate's brazen and violent escape from Men's Central Jail surfaced on Thursday.

The male inmate breached security in the jail's visiting area and assaulted multiple sheriff's deputies in his bid for freedom.

Video obtained by KFI showed one deputy being kicked in the upper torso and knocked backward as he tried to stop the leaping inmate.

The escapee was then spotted climbing a chain link fence and darting across a set of railroad tracks just moments before an oncoming train rolled through the area.
