A purse snatcher dragged a 95-year-old woman several feet in an incident outside a Memphis shopping mall that was captured on surveillance video earlier this week.

The elderly victim, who was walking with a cane as she approached one of the mall's shops on Monday, was unable to let go of her purse when a man nearby grabbed it and began to run away.

The woman was hospitalized with non-critical injuries and police are searching for the thief.
