A fatal crash started when officials said a sheriff's deputy tried to pull over a Honda and the driver took off.

With speeds over 100 mph, the deputy called off the pursuit. Shortly after, the Honda smashed into a Ford, killing the Ford’s passenger, who was a father of two.
