The young man who lost his life in a traffic accident tonight has been identified as 24-year-old Brandon Misael Lucas Ramos, a native and resident of the Laureles hamlet in Malacatán.

The incident occurred at kilometer 275, on the road leading to Finca Bethel. According to preliminary information, Brandon was riding a black Navi motorcycle when, for reasons yet to be determined, he was involved in a severe crash.

Upon impact, the young man was thrown several meters, dying at the scene as a result of multiple traumatic injuries. First responders from the El Carmen substation rushed to the emergency; however, upon their arrival, the victim no longer showed vital signs.

The body was identified by his mother, who was deeply devastated by the tragedy, noting that her son had left home during the night in rainy conditions.
