Arlan Carlos Moraes de Lima, 50, a French fries seller and app driver, was shot dead in front of his establishment.

Arlan had gone out to buy fish at the market and, upon returning, sat down outside to talk to an employee.

A shooter emerged from behind, firing several shots, mainly to the head area.

At the scene, friends and acquaintances mourned the loss, noting that Arlan was a good person, known for his previous work as a security guard at parties and a vigilante in the neighborhood. A witness who preferred not to be identified reported, "About eight years ago he rented this spot here to sell potatoes. There was a fanny pack that he was wearing, and they took it away after the shots, I don't know if there was a gun there. He was a good guy."
