The drug can also be called spice, K2, K4 and legal high.The preparation of the drug takes place in this way: the components of the hallucinogen are mixed with a solvent, making it liquid. Then, the liquid is sprayed onto a surface — dried herbs, colored paper and even sulphite sheet. According to experts, the drug is one hundred times more potent than marijuana.K9 has been one of the most used drugs in Cracolândia, in São Paulo. The substance can generate several side effects, such as agitation, anxiety, seizures and paranoia. It can also cause vomiting, rapid heartbeat, depression, inability to communicate, and addiction. Users may show signs of irritability and violent behavior.The well-known “zombie effect”, one of the effects of drug use, is the result of mental confusion, altered perceptions and hallucinations.
