A 62-year-old elderly woman was run over by a trailer on the streets of the Lomas de Polanco neighborhood in the municipality of Guadalajara.

According to witnesses, it was the woman who tried to cross the street while the vehicles were moving. The driver of the trailer did not see her, so he ran over her, but he stopped as soon as he heard the woman's screams.

Several neighbours also came to try to help the woman. It was not until elements of the Guadalajara Police arrived that the scene was cordoned off.

In addition, municipal paramedics arrived to provide assistance to the injured woman, who was transferred in a serious condition and with several exposed fractures.

The driver of the trailer carrying water was arrested on site while initial investigations began and responsibilities were determined.

The Public Prosecutor's Office has already been informed so that one of its agents can provide command and guidance in the case and the circumstances of the events can be clarified.
