A woman was burnt alive in Bokaro district of Jharkhand over land dispute. She suffered more than 80 per cent burn injuries. The accused first vandalized her house and later threw kerosene oil on the woman and set her on fire.

The victim was rushed to a hospital in Jharkhand for treatment.

Bokaro: In a shocking incident, a woman was burnt alive in Bokaro district of Jharkhand. The victim suffered more than 80 per cent burn injuries. The incident occurred due to a land dispute in the Marafari police station area of Bokaro district.

Woman suffers over 80 per cent burn injuries

The accused individuals vandalized the house of the woman, identified as Ameesha Praveen, and later set her on fire. After committing the brutal act, all the accused fled the spot.

Upon hearing Ameesha’s screams, locals and her family members immediately rushed her to Sadar Hospital in Bokaro for treatment. After receiving first aid, doctors referred the victim to Bokaro General Hospital. Ameesha has sustained 80 to 90 per cent burns, and her condition is critical.

Upon receiving the information, the police at Marafari police station reached the spot and collected details from the victim’s son and other family members.

According to Ameesha’s son, there was an ongoing dispute with a person named Karma Manjhi regarding the land where their house was situated. Panchayats were held several times to address the issue. The victim’s son stated that immense pressure was being exerted on Ameesha to vacate the land.

On Wednesday afternoon, more than a dozen men and women forcibly entered Ameesha’s house and began vandalizing it. Ameesha was not present at home during the vandalism. Upon receiving the information, she rushed back home. A dispute over the land ensued between Ameesha Praveen and the other party. The arguments escalated to the point where members of the opposing party poured kerosene on the woman and set her on fire.
