A group of young people suffered a severe fall while participating in the Palo Encebado contest. During the celebration of the Pespire Fair in Choluteca.

As is already known, the Palo Encebado consists of a wooden trunk with a height of several meters, to which bait or some other slippery substance is muddy. A prize is placed at the top and the person who manages to climb wins the prize.

This is a tradition that is generally lived in the rural communities of Honduras. The residents enjoy a lot and encourage the participants to win the prize.

On this occasion, as on many others, when a single participant cannot make it, they all come together and build human towers to reach the prize.

According to the video circulating on social networks, that was what happened in Pespire, but the Palo Encebado could not support the weight and broke.

The young people fell to the ground and according to data collected, the assistants helped them and more than one was taken to the emergency room.

So far there is no exact data on how many boys are the most affected and their health condition.
