San Luis Río Colorado, Sonora.- Yesterday, two men died after a 4×4 vehicle overturned, in the Dunes of the great Altar desert.

The victims were identified as surgeon Fernando Hidalgo and his co-pilot Angel Valdez.

Both lost control of their unit and overturned from the top of the dune known as El Hoyo.

Videos were spread on social networks showing the moment when the car falls on the sand spinning and one of the two is thrown out.

Both participate in the traditional recreational event 'Travesía 2024'

The bodies have already been transferred to San Luis Río Colorado and are in the process of being delivered to their families.
