A Russian air defense missile in the Luhansk region made a 180-degree turn in the air and crashed almost in the same place from which it was launched.

The images were taken near the city of Alchevsk, about 55 kilometers south of Severodonetsk, where the heaviest fighting has taken place.

Reports indicate that the air defense missile system - possibly an S300 - was operated by pro-Russian separatists from the breakaway Luhansk People's Republic.
