Serious accident this evening in Viale della Repubblica. Around 7pm, a pedestrian, a 48-year-old Pakistani man, was hit by a car driven by a twenty-year-old while he was crossing the road near the Palace Hotel, apparently in a point where there are no pedestrian crossings.

Following the impact, the man was thrown about ten meters before falling to the ground. Despite the impact, the pedestrian remained conscious, but his condition immediately appeared serious. Rescued by 118 personnel, the 48-year-old was transported under code red to Santo Stefano and underwent surgery. He is currently on a guarded prognosis.
