A horrifying incident unfolded during a Halloween celebration in Chicago as a gunman opened fire, targeting the gathering on the city's West Side. At least 15 individuals fell victim to the shooting, with two sustaining critical injuries. The victims, six women and nine men, ranged in age from 26 to 53 years old.

Two of the injured were rushed to the hospital in critical condition.

Law enforcement swiftly apprehended the suspect and recovered a firearm at the scene. Tragically, Halloween festivities in other cities, including Tampa and Indianapolis, were similarly marred by mass shootings.
