The businessman identified as Macilon was shot to death on the morning of this Friday, the 16th, around 7:31 AM, in the municipality of Sítio Novo, in the interior of Maranhão. The crime occurred on Antônio Bandeira Street and caused a great commotion among residents of the region.

According to preliminary information, the criminals approached the victim simulating a robbery. Even though he offered no reaction, the businessman was struck by gunfire, succumbing to his injuries and dying at the scene.

After the attack, the suspects fled and have not yet been identified. The Military Police were called to cordon off the area, while Civil Police teams began investigations to clarify the circumstances of the crime and identify the perpetrators. The case will be investigated as robbery resulting in death or execution, depending on the progress of the investigations.
