A woman, whose identity was not released, died on Friday morning (15), after falling from the Maués bridge, in Cachoeirinha, South Zone of Manaus . She was on a motorcycle, with a man, who was also not identified.

According to information from witnesses, the victim was on the back of the motorcycle and the suspicion is that the driver lost control of the vehicle after a car hit the back of the motorcycle. As a result, the woman was thrown from the bridge.

Residents of the area even called a team from the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu), but the woman did not survive her injuries and died at the scene.

The motorcycle driver was rescued alive and taken to the João Lúcio Emergency Hospital, in the East Zone of the capital. His health condition was not reported.

The Civil Police were called and the body will be removed by the Legal Medical Institute (IML).
