A man was run over by a car at dawn this Sunday (12), on Rua da Harmonia, in the Indian neighborhood, in the municipality of Garanhuns, in the Agreste de Pernambuco.

Security camera footage recorded the moment that Júlio Ferreira da Silva, 35, walks down the street and is hit by the unidentified vehicle, whose driver escaped.

According to police, the victim was a drug user and practiced theft in the area.

The Military Police, the Institute of Criminalistics and the Civil Police were at the scene, the body was sent to the Institute of Legal Medicine (IML) in Caruaru.

The Civil Police continues to investigate the case.
