A man stabbed several people who were in Praça da Matriz de Guareí. He was killed by police after the attack.

According to the Military Police, the attacker approached a man who was at the bus stop in the square and asked for a cigarette. Upon saying that he didn't have it, the author lost control and threatened him with a knife.

A taxi driver, who is a retired Municipal Guard, witnessed the threat and tried to calm the fight, but he was stabbed by the aggressor and died at the scene.

As he fled, he stabbed another man and a woman who were on the street. Afterwards, he invaded a trade and injured three more victims.
