Elephant goes on destructive rampage through Kozhikode

An elephant turned violent during a religious festival in the southern Indian city of Kozhikode, Friday.

The elephant smashed up a parked auto rickshaw before chasing terrified residents down a street.

A temple priest who was on the elephant's back for the religious event managed to eventually escape by jumping for safety.
