On the afternoon of October 16, the leader of the People's Committee of Dong Trach commune, Quang Tri province, confirmed that the police were investigating the heartbreaking incident that caused the death of a couple in the morning of the same day.

According to initial information, at around 7:30 a.m., a traffic accident occurred on National Highway 1, passing through Dong Duyet 1 village, Dong Trach commune. At this time, the car was moving in the South - North direction when suddenly a man from the side of the road rushed straight in front of the car.

The driver did not have time to react, the car hit and killed the victim on the spot.

Images extracted from a dashcam show the man almost deliberately running into the middle of the road. The victim was identified as Mr. NTT (61 years old, residing in Dong Duyet 1 village, Dong Trach commune).

When the authorities arrived at Mr. T's house to report the incident, they were shocked to discover that his wife, Mrs. NTL (61 years old), had died earlier, the cause of which has not been clarified.

Dong Trach Commune Police coordinated with professional units to conduct a crime scene investigation and autopsy to investigate the cause of two related deaths in the same family.

According to local authorities, Mr. T. and Mrs. L. have three children, two of whom are working abroad. In recent days, the couple is said to have had conflicts.
