Her saving grace was that she was riding a girl/woman's bike. At the second of impact her left foot was at, or near, TDC on the pedal cycle. That allowed the whole bicycle to simply rotate out from under her. Had she been riding a standard man's bike the crossbar would have snapped her left femur.
