A 27-year-old FedEx employee was arrested on Sunday night after allegedly firing off 25 rounds indiscriminately from a Glock 19x pistol inside the Menomonee Falls facility, according to the Menomonee Falls Police Department.

Police responded to the FedEx Distribution Facility, N96W14849 County Line Road, for a report of a person who went inside the facility with a semiautomatic handgun. Shortly after they arrived, a single gunshot was heard from the facility.

As officers approached the building a man exited the side door with a handgun in his hand. He initially obeyed officers’ order to drop the weapon but he resisted their efforts to take him into custody, police said.

The man was subdued, arrested and taken to the hospital to be medically cleared. The Milwaukee man was later taken to the Waukesha County Jail on multiple felony and misdemeanor charge recommendations.

Police said the facility was unoccupied during the incident. The building was searched and a firearm was recovered. The suspect received minor injuries during his arrest, but no other injuries were reported.
