A man named Jimmy Sugito Putra (JSP) died after being stabbed by a group of people.

The victim, who is known to be a witness for candidate pair number 2 Slamet Junaidi-Ahmad Mahfudz (Jimad Sakteh) in the 2024 Pilkada, was attacked using a sharp weapon, a machete.

The incident began when there was a rejection of the campaign of the Jimad Sakteh candidate pair in the village. Jimad Sakteh's Winning Team Leader, Surya Noviantoro explained that before the incident, their team was blocked by a group of people.

After tough negotiations, the candidate pair were successfully evacuated and secured from the location.

"After negotiations, our candidate pair was finally secured and left the location," he said.

But not long after that, five young men suddenly approached Jimmy and immediately attacked him with machetes.

The victim, who was not carrying any weapons, was unable to fight back and eventually died from the injuries to his body.

Head of Public Relations of Sampang Police, Ipda Dedy Dely Rasidie ​​confirmed the incident.

"Currently, we are still conducting a crime scene investigation (TKP) and examining several witnesses," he explained.

This bloody incident was recorded in an amateur video by residents which has now gone viral on social media.

In the recording, the victim is seen wearing a sarong and a white cap, lying on the ground covered in blood.
