An accident occurred at a quarry in the town of Pavlovo, Nizhny Novgorod Region, during an extreme recreational activity. A man decided to have fun and jump from a homemade bungee cord suspended over water. At one point, he slipped from the rope and fell into the quarry, but the danger didn't end there—a tree collapsed on him from above. The Telegram channel Ni Mash reports the details.According to preliminary reports, the jumper misjudged his trajectory and, instead of landing safely, hit the water and ended up under a falling tree trunk. The tree fell from the bank or cliff where the bungee cord was anchored, pinning the man in the water. Bystanders immediately rushed to his aid, pulled the victim from the water, and called an ambulance.Arriving paramedics diagnosed him with injuries of varying severity. The nature of his injuries has not yet been released, but he is conscious and has been hospitalized in the region. Doctors are providing him with all necessary care.The incident caused a widespread outcry among local residents, who note that the quarry is often used for such entertainment, but safety is not ensured there.
