This was a nightclub fire from last year which happened in Kočani, North Macedonia. It was the deadliest nightclub fire in Europe. Consequently, 63 individuals were killed and 193 were injured. The fire was caused by indoor fireworks which reached the ceiling, causing it to spread. The nightclub was unlicensed, and was found to break numerous safety regulations. The densely populated neighbourhood made it difficult for the firetrucks to reach it. Many victims were left lying on the street due to an insufficient availability of ambulances.
