At 9AM on Yingbin Avenue and Huacheng Street of the Huadu District of China, there was a strange accident which injured three people. The accident occurred on July 6, 2021, and a police report was made on the same day.

Preliminary investigation:

At 9AM, Hao, a 64-year-old woman was driving on the Rose Road intersection, nearly stopped as she waited for traffic to clear. Suddenly, she accelerated towards the pavement, and hit several people walking along the sidewalk, and a man on a moped. It is possible that she mistook the brake pedal for the gas pedal, and accidentally accelerated. Three people were injured in stable condition, and Huadu Police officers did an on-site alcohol breath test to which she passed, ruling out drunk driving. The investigation is still ongoing.
