A shocking case of revenge turned deadly emerged from Edo State, Nigeria, where five individuals lost their lives after consuming poisoned soup. The incident, which left the local community in disbelief, revolves around a girl who sought revenge against her ex-boyfriend.

According to reports from the Daily Star, the bodies were discovered in a room of a residence after concerned family members noticed the absence of the five individuals. When they entered the home, they were met with a horrifying scene.

The tragic chain of events began when the girl, harbouring resentment towards her former partner, mixed poison into a traditional pepper soup. She intended to target only her ex-boyfriend but inadvertently caused the deaths of four others – two of whom were brothers and the remaining three were their friends. Unaware of the lethal contents, the boy consumed the soup and shared it with his friends.
