A man was murdered with a knife while he was drinking on the sidewalk of a grocery store in the south of Macapá. The crime took place on Saturday night (12), near the Açucena housing estate, in Bairro Novo Buritizal.

The victim was identified as Laudeci de Souza Lobato, 28. The Amapá Civil Police have so far ruled out any connection between the murder and organized crime.

According to the Homicide and Personal Protection Police (DHPP), hours before the murder there had been a disagreement between Laudeci and an individual known as "Pirulito", who was identified as the main suspect in the murder.

Images from the establishment's security cameras show the moment when Laudeci, sitting on a chair, was surprised by the attacker. He tried to run away, but fell immediately afterwards and couldn't resist his serious injuries.

Forensics found two puncture wounds in the victim's body: one in the right arm and the other in the chest.

The suspect fled the scene and has not yet been located.
