Greater São Paulo, Brazil: A security camera captured the moment a motorcyclist was thrown into the air after being hit by a speeding car that was traveling in the wrong direction . The accident happened on Saturday morning (23) in São Bernardo do Campo, in Greater São Paulo.

The motorcyclist suffered injuries to his elbow and ankle and remains hospitalized in a conscious and stable condition, according to information from the City of São Bernardo.

The crash took place on Avenida Dom Pedro de Alcântara, at number 180, at around 6 am, when there was almost no traffic on the street.

The motorcycle was traveling alone along the avenue and was surprised by a car traveling in the opposite direction. After the collision, the motorcyclist was thrown against the wall of a store, falling more than a meter above the ground. Already on the ground, it is possible to see in the images that he moves and even sits down.

The car then hits the storefront and ends up back in the middle of the road. The driver and passenger of the car run out of the vehicle to help the motorcyclist.

The victim was rescued by a Samu team, who performed first aid at the scene and took her to the Emergency Hospital, where she remains hospitalized.

According to the Public Security Department, the driver of the car did not show signs of drunkenness .

The experts and the IML were called and the case was registered as negligent bodily harm while driving a motor vehicle and collision at the 1st DP in São Bernardo do Campo.
