Prosecutors filed charges Tuesday against the suspect accused of leading police on a high-speed chase that ended in a fiery crash on I-5.Randy Faoato Tipa, 26, of Federal Way appeared in Pierce County Superior Court where he was charged with counts of robbery in the first degree, unlawful possession of a firearm, identity theft, and attempting to elude a pursuing police vehicle.The Pierce County Sheriff's Department released body camera video Tuesday of deputies apprehending Tipa, watch it below:According to a sheriff’s report, Tipa carjacked a woman at gunpoint at Orangegate Park around 11:30 a.m. on Monday.The victim of the carjacking told responding officers that she had an Apple AirTag in the vehicle and was able to give police the exact location of the car.According to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department, deputies responded to the car’s location in Federal Way and attempted to arrest Tipa when he sped away in the stolen car.
