Ecuador. An armed attack at a pool hall in the Santa Isabel neighborhood left approximately 11 people dead yesterday afternoon. Among the victims was Carlos Yagual Carrillo, son of Carlos Yagual Reinoso, owner of a radio station. The radio broadcaster's son-in-law was also reportedly killed.According to witnesses, several men arrived in a vehicle, burst into the establishment—where some were playing pool and others were getting a haircut—and opened fire with long-barreled weapons, firing bursts at everyone present. The massacre occurred within minutes.After the incident, the radio station owner himself transported his son and son-in-law in a van to the hospital. Other relatives did the same with the bodies of their loved ones, removing them from the scene and taking them to their homes before the authorities arrived.The incident has shocked the community and surrounding areas. Police have begun investigations to determine the cause of the crime, identify those responsible, and determine whether the attack was targeted or indiscriminate.This latest act of violence adds to a series of armed attacks reported at recreational facilities and public places across the country.
