A 42-year-old man suddenly died inside a mosque in Saharanpur before prayers. He was performing ablution when he fell backwards. The people present initially could not understand what had happened. Later, a young man lifted him and tried to give him water, but his condition did not improve.

His family took him to hospital, where doctors declared him dead. A heart attack is suspected. The deceased was a labourer. He was identified as Sharafat, a resident of Buddahkheda village. The incident took place on Sunday afternoon. CCTV footage of the incident emerged on Monday.
