A 67-year-old painter has been criminally charged for smashing ATMs in three banks, in the Jinjang region of Kuala Lumpur. His action has resulted in damages of 45000 and 24000 Malaysian Ringgits from two banks. He pleaded not guilty, having stated that he did it out of frustration for not being able to withdraw anything from his account. In court, he was bailed with an amount of 14000 Malaysian Ringgits.
