IMPERATRIZ - A man was shot early in the afternoon this Thursday (31), on Avenida JK, in the Santa Rita neighborhood, in the city of Imperatriz, in the interior of Maranhão.

Security camera footage shows the moment when the man, who was working at a lumberyard as a day laborer, was surprised by the suspect, who shot the victim in the head at close range.

The victim was treated by SAMU (Mobile Emergency Care Service) and taken to the Municipal Hospital of Imperatriz in serious condition. There is still no information about the shooter.

The Military Police of Maranhão (PM-MA) carries out patrols based on the images that will also be used by the Civil Police of Maranhão (PC-MA) in the investigation of the crime.
