A citizen, allegedly of Venezuelan nationality, was captured by Colombian authorities in Bucaramanga, Colombia, after the murder of a young man with a stab wound to the chest.

Geyner Fabián Bernal Manco, known as alias 'Diablo', was sent to prison after being identified as the alleged perpetrator of the murder of Humberto José Jordán Weffer, a 19-year-old young man, who was stabbed in the chest during a fight in Piedecuesta last weekend.

The tragic incident occurred in the midst of an altercation in which Bernal Manco, 24, allegedly attacked Humberto José with a knife, causing his immediate death.

The seriousness of the incident led the authorities to act quickly, and on the morning of Tuesday, September 3, a judge of guarantees ordered his imprisonment under a precautionary measure.

During the hearings, several testimonies were presented from witnesses who witnessed the attack, as well as a video captured by a security camera that recorded the exact moment when alias 'Diablo' stabbed the victim in the chest. Despite the evidence against him, Bernal Manco did not accept the charges that the Prosecutor's Office brought against him for the crime of aggravated homicide.

The criminal record of alias 'Diablo' is extensive. He has 13 records in the Oral Accusatory Criminal System (Spoa), of which 11 are related to drug crimes, one for theft and another for personal injury. This record has contributed to the authorities considering Bernal Manco as a highly dangerous individual, which justifies his imprisonment while the judicial process against him is carried out.
